[edit] The history of the World Logging Championships
At the initiative of Hungary and the former Yugoslavia, the first international competitions were developed in the 60s and were announced as a joint event for the first time in 1970. Gradually, a steadily increasing number of nations participated in the competitions. A world championship developed. Since then, the competitions have revolved around prowess with chain saws. Safety, precision and speed are evaluated in execution of the disciplines. editor
